Technology

In sequence the product is evenly penetrated with hot air and superheated steam. The highly even distributed energy for the cereal guarantees a narrow range of grain sizes for the puffed product, resulting in high yields.

During the expansion process, the product is depressurizedvia a precisely adjusted orifice. The grains being processed are thus subjscted to virtually identical expansion conditions.

The grains then fly through the rotating expansion conduit without turbulence, which avoids any negative effect on the expansion process.


Commercial aspects and environmental fatctors

The limited number of moving parts and minimized recoil forces help reduce the amount of wear on the puffing plant. Most moving parts are easy-to-obtain standard components.

The system runs automatically and does not require the constant presence of a machine operator.

Thanks to the application of advanced technology, energy consumption is only around 60% of that of conventional puffing systems.


Operating safety and noise emissions

There is no gas heating system or open flame, nor is there an electric jacket heating system - which eliminates the possibility of burn injuries.

The fully-controlled opening of the reactor valve, in conjunction with the orifice, ensures a virtually recoilless drop in reactor pressure. Thie totally prevents any "expansion bang". There is thus no longer any need to install the system in a separate part of the building.
